Like to play with LEGO? Want to learn how to build a LEGO robot to solve missions?
Our provincial, national and international champion FIRST LEGO LEAGUE robotics team is offering 10 amazing LEGO robotics workshops to students in JK to Grade 6 in March and April. Every workshop is different, so students can sign up for one, many, or all workshops.
There are 4 workshops offered to students in JK to Grade 2 using the WeDo2.0 robots, and 6 workshops offered to students in Grades 3 to 6 using the Spike Prime robots. All 10 workshops will be hosted at Académie de la Moraine in Oak Ridges (13200 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill). Limit of 25 participants per workshop, on a first come first serve basis. As we are a French-speaking team, the workshops will be offered in BOTH French and English (bilingual sessions). This is the third year we are running these workshops, and they have been a big hit in the community in past years.
NewmarketToday covered our team back in 2023 when we started offering these workshops: https://www.
This is our third consecutive year representing Canada at an international robotics competition. We are an inclusive not-for-profit community team, so our ability to represent Canada on the world stage heavily depends on the support of our community. These workshops are a great way for other students in York Region to find out about the FIRST LEGO LEAGUE program and learn about robotics. They are always a ton of fun! These workshops are also a way for our team to give back to our community, inspire other students, and fundraise for our participation in the WAFFLE International FLL Robotics Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts in June.
Registration is available on our website at: https://sites.google.com/
